Our free evaluations should not be used for insurance appraisal purposes or for establishing a current replacement value for your sword. Our evaluation should only be used to assist you in identifying and categorizing your sword, and for obtaining a general "ballpark"  estimate of the value of your sword in today's sword market. For an exact valuation or appraisal, or for insurance or replacement value purposes, you should consult a recognized sword expert/appraiser and obtain a formal written appraisal. This can only be done by an in-person inspection and hands-on inspection and examination of your sword by an appraiser.
